Pool & Balcony

The community pool at Palm Canyon Villas is well-maintained and rarely crowded. Vintage woven lounge chairs on the deck, clear water, surrounded by palms. It is the kind of pool that looks good in photos and is actually enjoyable to use, which is not always the same thing.

The private balcony off the living room has a cement tile bar counter with two bar stools. The pass-through window opens directly into the kitchen so someone can hand drinks out without walking around. Something and Nothing sodas on the counter for guests. The eucalyptus in the corner is real. The mountain view at dusk is better than the photos suggest.

At night the string lights come on and the balcony becomes the best seat in the condo. Desert air at altitude after the sun drops is its own thing. The bar stools face the mountains and most guests find a reason to stay out later than planned.
