TERRA LUZ

Kitchen

Functional, not fussy. The Chemex is out for a reason.

The kitchen is not trying to be anything it is not. A Chemex pour-over cone on the counter, an acacia chopping block beside the stove, a Nespresso for the days you need speed over craft. Guests who cook will find what they need. Guests who do not will find the coffee and leave it at that.

The nook is a different story. Caramel Apple walls, a round wood table pulled from The Sundune during an earlier refresh, rattan chairs, a capiz shell pendant overhead, and a sage credenza lined with Cuban and Latin art. Dawn called the credenza a pop of character. Against those warm walls, it reads less like furniture and more like a decision. You will eat breakfast here every morning and genuinely not want to leave.

The geometric tile backsplash runs the full length of the counter. Wood floating shelves above it hold a small collection of objects that stopped being curated the first week guests arrived. That is fine. The kitchen was built to be used, and it shows the right kind of wear.
