The Cozy Cactus · Indian Palms Country Club · Indio, CA
No shuttles. No surge pricing. You have the best location to the festival — here's how to make the most of it.
You are 0.7 miles from the front security gate of Indian Palms, then an additional 0.3 miles to the Yellow Path entrance. Total walk: about 1.5 miles (~19 minutes) via Eisenhower Dr. No long shuttle lines. No surge pricing. Time to relax.
Yellow Path at 49th & Monroe is your best bet for walking to Coachella and Stagecoach. Once you reach the front gate of Indian Palms, cross the street and make a left. You'll be directed south toward 49th Ave.
The Yellow Path is gravel — bring comfy shoes. No pedestrians are allowed on Monroe between Ave 49–52, or on Madison between Ave 50–52.
Community members within Indian Palms often offer golf cart and truck rides from the neighborhood to the front gate during festival weekends. This is word-of-mouth, not officially endorsed — but it's a great way to save your feet for the festival.
Going rate: roughly $5/rider for groups of 10, or $10/rider for smaller groups of five or less.
Plan this in advance — don't count on finding a ride at the last minute. We'll include current community contact info in your welcome book closer to your stay.
Traffic around the festival gets extremely congested. Avoid driving if at all possible — especially near 48th & Monroe, which becomes completely gridlocked during festival hours.
Main guest entry gate. Only gate with security staff on-site. Indian Palms adds an extra workstation during festival weekends to handle volume. During peak hours, the transponder-only lane converts to allow general guest and paper pass access.
No security officers. Entry via Conekt app on iPod touch or license plate only. Recommended to minimize traffic if you're using these.
Restricted to residents only by the Indio Police Department. You will be turned around.
Uber/Lyft drop-off for Coachella: Lot 1C area near Ave 49 & Monroe. For Stagecoach: Lot 1D near Indian Palms C.C. at Ave 49 & Monroe.
Starting approximately two weeks before the festival, Ave 50 between Madison & Monroe begins experiencing intermittent closures. Full closures occur Friday through Sunday of each festival weekend. Streets typically reopen to normal traffic the week after the final weekend.
Plan your arrivals and departures accordingly. Monday through Thursday between festival weekends are usually clear.
Alternate routes will be signed. When in doubt, approach via Monroe Gate from the north.
When you're not at the festival, Indian Palms Country Club has plenty to keep you going.
